Dr. Hakimi fell in love with surgery while he was doing his residency at Yale/Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut. Ob/Gyn is the only surgical subspecialty where the physicians do not get trained in general surgery. So, Dr. Hakimi took it upon himself to scrub with his surgical colleagues, giving himself the experience, he desired.

More than 20 years later, his steady hands and calm demeanor make him an excellent choice of surgeon. He recently advanced his surgical skills by getting trained in robotic surgery.
