Great experience with Dr. Hakimi’s office and HMH Pascack Valley Medical Center. The entire team was attentive, compassionate, and always took the time to address my wife’s needs and answer all of her questions. Dr Hakimi is an amazing doctor. Not only does he take care of Obgyn, he looks at the whole picture, really considering everything. Few doctors are this thorough and holistic. He looks at results of tests I have with other doctors so he can provide comprehensive personalized care. I have been a patient at Dr. Hakimi’s office since I turned 18, and now, at 33, I continue to appreciate the care and professionalism provided there. The entire staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes each visit a pleasant experience. I started to visit Dr. Hakimi after my first pregnancy. I was nervous to have a second pregnancy and a friend recommended that I seek advice from Dr. Hakimi and I don’t know who to thank more , my friend or The Doctor. Today, I believe that I have my family and 4 beautiful children because of Dr. Hakimis care. I had complications during my first pregnancy that were not addressed properly by a remain unnamed physician. I thought that I never wanted to have a baby again. Then upon a friend’s recommendation, a visit to Dr. Hakimi changed my life. He made me feel comfortable. He was knowledgeable. He explained all my options to me. He gave me time to consult my husband on every step and make a decision. He showed kindness and care. He never got angry or frustrated with the constant back and fourths. My wife was seen by a large group in South Jersey. Since her pregnancy was high-risk, she was also monitored by the Maternal Fetal Medicine at the hospital. Towards the end of the pregnancy, the MFM informed us and the OB that she had a placenta accreta. Her OB then sent her to another OB, who had experience in the area and scheduled my wife’s cesarean for 1 week later. My wife’s friend had known Dr. Hakimi for years and asked her to see him. He saw us right away. After doing an ultrasound, he advised us to go to the hospital for immediate delivery. Luckily, we did. The uterus was ruptured upon entry. He made a complicated operation look like a smooth sale. Thanks to him, my wife and baby are safe, alive, with no complications in this highest risk situation. Thank you again!

Dr Hakimi has been my OBGYN for over 5 years. Gave birth to my first born and recently decided to go for baby #2, I recently had an ectopic pregnancy and the care and attentiveness he displayed during this hard time was exceptional. He was a phone call away and helped me through this tough time. He is knowledgeable, caring , and makes sure you feel safe during the whole process. He would call me after hours and would talk to me and walk me through everything. This meant a lot to me. Thank you so much for everything Dr Hakimi. After delivering my second child, I began experiencing heavy bleeding just a few days postpartum. I was losing a lot of blood and quickly called an ambulance. I was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, where everything quickly became overwhelming.

In the ER, multiple ob residents and ob hospitalists evaluated me and urgently recommended surgery—including a hysterectomy. I was devastated. As a young mother, who still wished to have more children the thought of losing my ability was heartbreaking. Through tears, I signed the consent form, feeling completely helpless.

One of the EMTs noticed how scared I was and mentioned Dr. Hakimi. I asked if there was any way to reach him—and somehow, he made it happen. As I was being taken up to the operating room, Dr. Daniel Hakimi appeared—like an angel—right before surgery. I had never met him before, but in that moment, everything changed.

He quickly stepped in, took over my care, and calmly reassessed the situation. Instead of rushing into major surgery, he made a critical, life-changing decision: stabilize first. He started blood transfusions and IV medications while closely monitoring me.

Because of his expertise, confidence, and compassionate approach, the bleeding was controlled—without surgery. I received three units of blood, responded to treatment, and went home the very next day… with my uterus intact and my future still mine.

Dr. Hakimi and his staff are truly exceptional. I have given birth to both of my children with this group and they always make me feel at ease. The doctor truly cares about his patients and he has always made me feel like my children were safe and his top priority. Rachel on his staff is a great midwife who guided me through so much of my pregnancy and answered all my questions with kindness and compassion. I had a c-section at Pascack Valley and the service and attention there were also top notch. I have recommended multiple family members to Dr. Hakimi and we all have had wonderful experiences with him!

Dr. Hakimi is compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly cares about his patients. He explains all options without pressure and is an outstanding surgeon as well.
